After being let down on a commission for Alison's birthday Bob decided maybe it was time to work on a sculpture of his own.

Using the coiling clay method he began at the feet and coiling, he sculpted as it rose up.

William was quite forthright about the colours and the No. 7 (his age and of course Richie McCaw)

The pointing was just so William!!

People have commented that they would not have related the work Bob does in the studio to a one off sculpture like this one so we thought we would share it with you. For Bob it has been a great challenge and joy to express his talents in this way.
